Mortal Kombat (rev 5.0 T-Unit 03/19/93)

0.34b7 [Alex Pasadyn, Zsolt Vasvari, Kurt Mahan]

- During the Mortal Kombat demo mode, after the first computer fight, the "Order Your Mortal Kombat Collector's Edition Comic Book" page is not showed correctly (this is correct in the midyunit.c version of the game). Updated by RansAckeR in 0.106u2: Up until 0.74u2 the selftest is displayed on startup of the machine and the advertising shows correctly, from 0.75 till 0.77 the selftest is still shown but the advertising page is empty and since 0.78 the selftest is skipped and advertising page is empty. mk095gre A. Bousiges / WilliamBR / RansAckeR

- When entering the test menu of mk and selecting the Switch Test first, some graphics become offset. Earlier versions of MAME (0.60 and earlier) would give the following error message when exiting at this screen: Misaligned blit to: 0006f34c. Updated by RansAckeR in 0.106u2: Up until 0.59 it's ok, starting from 0.60 it's misalligned as already stated. However, if you run mame 0.59 or earlier with a nvram file from a later mame version, it has the same issue. mk095u6gre BSR / RansAckeR

Possible Bugs:

- mk (and clone mkr4): Low punch and low kick Diagnostic/Switch Tests for both players result in sound but no graphic indication (no filled-in circle). NOTE: clones mkla1, mkla2, mkla3, and mkla4 (driver: midyunit.c) properly indicate button activation. I don't know how this compares to actual machines. mk056gre wyrdbug / TriggerFin

- There are some glitches on the test your might bonus screen and on the attract mode, it happens almost every time that I play and more often on the second test your might screen (lines aren't supposed to be there). The bug on the attract mode happens when you lose a fight and don't continue, then leave the attract mode running, there will be missing the letters of high scores and in the profile of the fighters (see snapshots). mk062gre WilliamBR / Bugfinder / Thenasty / Reznor007

- The non-emulated version plays 1 of 2 available screams, when performing a fatality on your opponent. This is regardless of whether you are using input (player) 1 or 2. The emulated version plays only scream 1, every time, when using input (player) 1. If using input (player) 2, it plays scream 2. Lui Kang and Sonya's screams should not be an issue, as they're completely different than the two I'm refering to. Considering the MK series' history of playing different screams depending on your input (player) choice, some would assume that I'm simply recalling the game incorrectly. I truly believe I'm not. mk063gre JMSzczap82
