- The starfield is wrong.

- schematics show 4 lines going from the 58XX I/O chip to the 26XX (starfield generator). Function and operation unknown.

- Add 62XX custom to machine/namcoio.c (though it's quite different from 56XX and 58XX).

- Is the spirte generator the same as Phozon? This isn't clear yet. They are very similar, especially in the way the size flags are layed out.

- most sets always say "I/O OK", even if the custom I/O checks fail. Only gapluso and gaplusa stop working; these two also don't do the usual Namco-trademark RAM test on startup, and use the first I/O chip in "coin" mode, while the others use it in "switch/lamp" mode.

- gaplusa has the 58XX and 56XX inverted. Why would they do that?

- To use Round Advance: turn the dip switch on before the start of a level. Push joystick up to pick a later level, then set the dip switch back to off.

- The only difference between galaga3a and galaga3m is the bonus life settings.

- Starfield: There's 3 sets of stars planes at different speeds.

- 0.93: Added clock parameter to Namco 15XX sound (24000 Hz).

- 12th April 1999: Ernesto Corvi sent in a newer Gaplus driver with custom io chips fully emulated (all 4 sets work now) and some other changes like correct starfield speed.

- 0.35b9: Added gaplus.c driver.

- 29th March 1999: Nicola fixed the screeching sounds of Gaplus.

- 28th March 1999: Ernesto Corvi sent in a new Gaplus driver with preliminary Galaga 3 support added (not working because of a different custom I/O chip).

- 27th March 1999: Ernesto Corvi sent in a much better Gaplus driver which is now fully playable and has also sound support.

- 24th March 1999: Ernesto Corvi has sent in a preliminary driver for Gaplus (happy now QuarterGuy?), made by Manuel Abadia and him. There are still many things to figure out, first being controls and colors.
